Saudi Arabias King Saud hospital successfully deploys AiroCide air purifying technology

The NASA developed AiroCide technology uses innovative various pathogen killing techniques based primarily on photo catalytic oxidation (PCO) to destroy highly harmful airborne microbes. Successfully deployed and used since well over 15+ years, Airocide efficacy claims are backed by clinical documented evidences from government institutions, hospitals, major universities, and the healthcare industry in general including published peer reviews. The same AiroCide systems have now been successfully put to use in the King Saud Hospital for infectious deseases in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after a fool proof efficacy test.

The test was initiated under the direction of the Directorate of Health (Riyadh) and under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Health (MOH), Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia, Ministry of Health Affairs as well as the hospital to test the air quality in the Tuberculosis (TB) ward. – independent and hospital test results showed a reduction in the number of airborne bacteria by 76 percent and that of mold/fungi by 71 percent over a 60 hour test period when the AiroCide units were at work as compared to a baseline reading prior to the activation of AiroCide. In addition, post installation the hospital staff found that the area smelt fresher due to the reduction of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). The presence of VOCs increases in the environment due to the frequent use of hand sanitizers located across the ward.

These VOCs are generated in the form of phenol which is known to cause fatigue and red eyes in individuals who come in constant contact with this carbolic acid. He further adds, AiroCide’s low cost implementation and maintenance should be considered when weighing the cost/benefit analysis of reduced nosocomial infections. It is our belief that the reduction and prevention of such infections will translate into significant savings for the hospital, patient and/or public health system.
